Mute Silencers

The Workshop

Small company.
Long memory.

A small shop in Hermanus, Western Cape. We design them, machine them, test them, and answer the phone afterwards.

Who we are

Design, production and support all live in the same building. We’ve been doing it long enough that most of our work comes by word of mouth.

The aim is a balance between affordability, ergonomics and quality — for a market that runs from the casual hunter to the professional using our products daily.

That’s not marketing. It’s the actual design constraint. Every decision about a Mute — the tube diameter, the baffle stack, the anodising process — is a trade between those three things.

We build for

  • 01Casual hunters
  • 02Professional hunters
  • 03Professional game croppers
  • 04Problem animal controllers
  • 05Sportsmen
  • 06The security and tactical market

The three-way trade

01

Affordability

A silencer should be within reach of the person who actually needs one, not just the person with the biggest safe.

02

Ergonomics

It has to disappear on the rifle. Weight, balance and length are designed around how the thing carries, not just how it performs on a bench.

03

Quality

Everything happens under one roof. If something's wrong, you're talking to the person who built it.
